Paralegal - Debt Recovery

With a focus on integrity, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we strive to empower individuals to achieve their financial goals.About the rolePick your own hours to suit your lifestyle as this role is for 20 hours each week either casual or permanent part-time.We are seeking a Debt Recovery Paralegal to work closely with our Legal and Collection teams.You will be a talented individual who has the knowledge, skills and ability to set up our legal recovery function as this is a new and exciting initiative for our company under the guidance of our Legal Manager and Head of Operations.You will be assigned a steady flow of delinquent accounts for customers who have outstanding debts with us ranging from $5,000 to $35,000 where we will pursue judgement orders through the relevant courts to achieve the following outcomes:To garnish wages from employers to recover customer debtTo remove assets from private property to arrange disposal at auctionYou will be required to seek judgement from tribunals and courts throughout Australia, therefore a good understanding of the following concepts and processes is required to be considered for this role:Issuing Letters of DemandPreparing Statement of ClaimsPreparing AffidavitsLodging Court Orders to obtain JudgementsArranging Service of DocumentsEnforcement HearingsStatement of Financial PositionsCalculating InterestEnforcement WarrantsResponsibilitiesLegal recovery of unpaid consumer debt and assetsBuilding and maintaining customer relationshipsGeneral management and running of filesDrafting legal documents and correspondenceInteraction with customers and negotiating settlementsCommunicating with third party providersWhat you will bring to the roleMinimum 1 year of debt recovery experience is essentialExceptional communicationProactive approach and initiativeConfidence with a range of technology and in learning new systemsStrong time management, planning and organisational skillsAbility to work autonomously and in a teamWhy Rapid Loans?We only employ friendly and positive team players who genuinely enjoy fast-paced, rewarding and sometimes challenging roles.We provide a modern office environmentAmazing Gold Coast location 100 metres to the beachFree onsite and street parking for staffFree Yoga and Pilates classesRegular paid events and funFresh fruits in the officeEmployee Assistance ProgramDynamic team and friendly and supportive leadershipGrowth opportunities1 hour lunch every FridayTo be considered for this role, click the 'apply now' button below.
