Key Responsibilities: Perform processes in a clean room environment under cGMP conditionsContribute to department functions, such as maintaining production suite, supplies, equipment, logbooks, and data in accordance with site SOPs and policiesDeliver sustained improvement in the site key performance indicators of Right the First Time and On Time DeliveryAdhere to cGMP Quality Management System and EH&S requirementsPerform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
Support and implement new procedures and/or equipment in the OPS department in consultation with other owners and usersAssist with batch record close-out, deviation reports, CAPAs, and change controlsAssist in the completion of lean initiatives and continuous improvementsConnect with suppliers about issues of technical natureAny reasonable additional tasks required for day-to-day operational activitiesThis role may require shift and on-call work, remunerated per company policyExhibit a pro-active attitude and personal initiative to identify and overcome practical problems, propose possible solutions, and communicate to the responsible person/sFrequent Contacts: Internal: QA, QC, USP, DSP, MBP, Tech Transfer, VAL, ENG, EH&S, WHS and external Auditors and customers
Skills and Attributes: Preferably a tertiary education in a science or engineering-based field (e.g., biopharmaceuticals manufacture, biotechnology, process technology)Min 1+ year of industry work experience in bio (pharmaceutical) fields or similarMust have good knowledge of and industry experience working in a cGMP environment (preferred)USP – cell culture passaging, WAVE bioreactors, 50 L – 2000 L stirred tank bioreactors for fed-batch and perfusion process, cell banking, and depth filtrationExcellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skillsProven track record to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and can work independentlyEmployee Benefits: A competitive salary and performance related bonus structureAccess to Thermo Fisher's global UniversityExposure to market leading & innovative technologiesCareer development opportunities in a leading global organizationWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
