Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Category / Sourcing Specialist - Join this Dynamic Team Are you a procurement pro with a passion for optimizing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and making a real impact?
The focus on this role will be on sourcing fresh food, ingredients and packaging for a production-oriented business - a 'start-up' within a division of an ASX 50 powerhouse.
As such, we are looking for a Category / Sourcing Specialist to join this fast-growing, innovative team and support their mission of delivering excellence
Why You'll Love This Role: In this exciting role, you'll be the backbone of our client's sourcing operations, helping onboard new suppliers and products while managing contracts and improving cost efficiencies.
You'll dive deep into supplier analytics, always on the hunt for opportunities to balance quality and cost.
From negotiating tenders to crunching the numbers for COGS improvements, you'll be the go-to expert for all things sourcing
What You'll Do: Lead the charge on supplier onboarding: help find the best food, ingredients, and packaging partners to elevate their product offerings.Drive cost improvements: support initiatives for COGS reduction with tendering, RFI, and TCO modelling.Own supplier analysis: from spend to DIFOT to forecasting, your insights will guide strategic decisions.Support strategic sourcing: work hand-in-hand with category managers, helping to refine processes, manage contracts, and ensure suppliers are performing at their best.Keep things running smoothly: maintain product and supplier databases, ensuring everything is up-to-date and optimized.Who You'll Work With: An energetic and engaged leadership team: collaborate closely with leaders who operate with a start-up mentality.Supply Chain & Operations: help keep the wheels turning and the products flowing.Culinary team: work with experienced chefs to ensure only the best ingredients and packaging is sourced.Suppliers: forge relationships with key partners and keep them performing at their peak.What You Bring: 3+ years of experience in procurement in a sourcing, procurement analytics, or category role.A solid understanding of procurement principles, plus a bit of project management experience to keep things on track.Top-notch analytical skills with tools like Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI - you love diving into data to uncover insightsA knack for managing multiple tasks and resolving issues quickly and efficiently.Proven success in building and maintaining supplier relationships.Bonus points if you've sourced food, packaging, or ingredients.What Makes You Stand Out: Strong commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically.Great organizational skills and an eye for detail - you keep everything on track and nothing slips through the cracks.Adaptability: this is a growing business, and you'll need to pivot and prioritize as they evolveExcellent stakeholder management skills - you know how to influence and drive outcomes.Superb communication skills - both written and verbal - and a positive, engaging personality.Why Join?
