The OpportunityWith strong growth in our mining operations, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Digger Support Technician to join the team.
This site-based role would be scheduled on a FIFO roster of a 2/2 working both day and night shifts.
Responsibilities: Providing quality and timely customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of equipment.Attending to onsite breakdowns and undertaking fault finding and diagnostic work.Maintaining the important link between the customer and the company, ensuring a high level of technical product support.Ensuring the HCA Safety Culture is embraced and displayed and driven from within.To be successful in this role, you will need: Relevant diesel or plant mechanic trade qualifications with experience in the maintenance of Hitachi excavators.A strong safety focus with an understanding and ability to abide by site safety processes at all times.Excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment.Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long-term relationships.Hold High Risk Licences – EWP – WAH – Dogging & Rigging.Benefits: Competitive pay rate, zone allowance & the potential to earn bi-annual bonusesScaled rates – starting rate $68/hr, potential to qualify for more based on yearly performance & training completed.1hr of Airport standby time & 2hrs of flight travel time paid to/from the Site.Reimbursements paid for transport to and from home to airport, or airport parking.Opportunity to work on the entirety of the Hitachi range, including a new fleet of excavators.OEM training and opportunities for upskilling with access to the latest technologies.Supportive mentors who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving success.Be a part of a leading OEM which genuinely values and ensures everyone is happy and safe at workAbout the companyDistributor of Hitachi, Bell and John Deere products and services for the construction, mining, quarry, forestry, demolition and recycling industries.
