The CBA technology unit delivers the best digital banking services to Commonwealth Bank customers and is responsible for digital delivery, group data and analytics, technology, technology infrastructure, cyber, fraud, physical security, and business resilience for all divisions across CBA.
CommBank Smart Health is Australia's first truly end-to-end digital payments solution for the healthcare industry.
Within CommBank Health, you'll be part of the Engineering team responsible for all the functionality related to the Smart Health Payments Platform.
As an Engineering Manager - Chapter Lead, you will:
Lead engineers that report to you, instilling a growth mindset and innovative ways of working.
Provide expert advice relating to technology, solution design and architecture, people leadership, and hiring.
Contribute to the technology strategy, draft quarterly crew memos, prioritise backlog, define delivery roadmaps, and decide which problems to invest in solving.

Have demonstrated experience in leading high-performing cross-functional engineering teams with a solid technical background.
Contribute to CommBank's Engineering Management Practice by coaching and mentoring engineers.
Effectively communicate engineering practice standards and consistent ways of working across squads and CBA.
Drive a true DevSecOps mindset, where engineering owns what they build and values customer feedback.
Promote open communication and create a safe working environment.
Encourage risk-taking and constructively challenge the status quo.
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks.
Experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success:
Back-end: strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core.
Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
Cloud - AWS (preferred) or Azure.
CI/CD pipeline - GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus.
DB - SQL database and NoSQL database (PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB).
Any experience with GenAI, Healthcare/Payments domain would be great.
