We're looking for a finance professional to join our Leadership team at TEDxMelbourne.Apply to VolunteerAbout the roleThe Head of Finance's main goal is to oversee the financial management of TEDxMelbourne, working closely with the CEO and other Leadership Team Members.
You will guide TEDxMelbourne's business with financial oversight, budgeting, and reporting.
You'll also manage other finance professionals undertaking bookkeeping for the organisation.About the teamThe Leadership Team's goal is to drive the strategic direction of TEDxMelbourne, ensuring the organisation's financial health and compliance with relevant legislation.CommitmentThis voluntary position entails a commitment of approximately 1-8 hours per week, which may increase during event periods.About youYou are a finance professional with at least 3+ years experience who loves big ideas and is interested in using your financial and accounting skills in an exciting, passion-driven organisation.Experience you'll haveOverseeing and presenting budgets, accounts, and financial statementsCreating and maintaining appropriate financial systems and controlsEnsuring compliance with relevant legislationPreparing and presenting budgets for an organisationAdvising on financial implications of strategic and operational plansExperience that's a plusExperience within the TEDx community or similar idea-sharing platformsExperience working in Not for Profit and/or volunteer organisationsLong term you will achieveExperience delivering a flagship event to the Melbourne community.Gain valuable experience and contribute to projects of your choosing.Influence the direction of the organisation.Application ProcessInterested candidates should submit their application via the following link, detailing their relevant experience and why they are an ideal fit for TEDxMelbourne.If shortlisted, we will arrange a video interview to learn more about you and discuss the role, suitability and next steps.Equal Opportunity StatementAt TEDxMelbourne, we're committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
