The Junior School Library Technician is responsible for assisting Teacher Librarian/s in providing library and information services to students and staff within the Junior School.

Always demonstrate and ensure compliance with the School's Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct and complete regular training in Child Protection standards.Promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people to whom we provide services.Ensure that their interactions with children and young people are positive and safe.Provide adequate care and supervision of children and young people in their charge.Act as a positive role model for children and young people.Must hold, or have the ability to obtain, a current Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP).The position The Junior School Library Technician is responsible for assisting Teacher Librarian/s in providing library and information services to students and staff within the Junior School. The position requires the use of a broad range of library and information management skills under limited supervision, while adhering to established procedures. Initiative and judgement are key components of the role in order to meet deadlines and achieve outcomes.
The Library Technician will support both the day-to-day operations of the library and provide guidance to students and volunteers when necessary. They are expected to maintain high levels of communication and interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth delivery of services. The role involves working closely with the Director of Junior School (Learning and Innovation) and Teacher Librarian/s to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
