The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead (513422d) vacancy.

The Team:
Older Persons Mental Health involves a unique combination of physical and mental health care.
In these roles, you will have the opportunity to develop active partnerships to support sector integration and client outcomes, develop and implement ongoing quality improvement, and develop and implement strategies to meet current and future service priorities.

The Role:
As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality mental health services, the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead will provide high-level support to the Team Leader within the relevant community mental health service, in the provision of:
Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
Effective management of specified human and physical resources.
Leadership, direction, and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan.
Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.
You will need:
Demonstrated capacity to effectively undertake a coordination/leadership role within a multidisciplinary community setting.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan.
Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the clinical activities of a multidisciplinary community mental health team.
Details of appointment:
Permanent full-time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more.
Professional development and accelerated pathways.
Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.
Fitness Passport – Access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
Desirable:
A minimum of 3 years postgraduate clinical experience in the context of a community mental health team.
