Applications are open for Assistant's in Nursing (AIN's), Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses to join the RPBG Casual Pool.
We are seeking to expand our pool of talented individuals across Royal Perth Hospital and Bentley Health Service.

Our hospitals Royal Perth Hospital - Western Australia's longest-serving tertiary hospital and state adult trauma centre, located in the Perth CBD, offering a variety of medical, surgical and specialty services.
Bentley Health Service - A 199-bed specialist public hospital that provides services including rehabilitation, elective and same-day surgery, aged care, and mental health.

Simply complete the online application form and attach a current CV clearly detailing your qualifications; work history and contact details (phone and email) for two (2) referees (one being your current or recent line manager).
This is a recruitment pool for casual appointments only.
This pool does not include permanent appoints to the RPH Corporate Nursing Pool (CNP).
There are currently no vacancies in the CNP.
This pool is open from the 1st January 2025 to the 31st December 2025.
External applicants There will be four (4) intakes per year.
You will be considered for the next available intake ONLY.
The cut-off dates for each intake are as follows:
Intake 1: 19th January 2025Intake 2: 20th April 2025Intake 3: 20th July 2025Intake 4: 19th October 2025If you are successful, you will be notified within two (2) weeks of the cut-off date via email.
You will receive the RPBG Casual Employment Process Guide for Successful Applicants containing information about next steps.
If you are unsuccessful, you will be notified via email.
If you wish to be considered in the following intake, you must specify in your email response.
For all external applicants, the following should be noted:
Applicants MUST have at least one (1) year experience in a tertiary hospital to be considered.It is desirable to have experience in at least two (2) different specialty areas.Applications will not be considered outside intakes specified above.Applications will be ranked based on the following:Years of experienceDiversity of experienceSpecialty skillsetsQuality of selection criteria against a marking guide.Referees will be contacted after the cutoff date.

Failure to provide references will result in your application automatically becoming unsuccessful.Internal applicants/ existing RPBG Employees The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications throughout this timeframe and will assess on a regular basis.
Existing RPBG staff applications will be considered outside the intakes specified above.

We cannot accommodate immediate appointments to the casual pool.
The recruitment process takes a minimum of four (4) weeks.
Please submit your application four (4) weeks prior to your termination date to avoid a break in service.Applicants MUST have at least one (1) year experience in a tertiary hospital to be considered.Your current NUM/CNM will be contacted for reference.
Please ensure they are aware and available to respond within the timeframe provided.
Failure to provide references will result in your application automatically becoming unsuccessful.Eligibility and equality Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
To be eligible for a fixed-term appointment, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
Applicants must hold Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (or be eligible to apply).
