Cost Accountant

We are currently looking for a Cost Accountant with a focus on inventory control to join our finance team. This is a permanent full-time role based in Belrose from Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for inventory management, reconciliation, costing analysis, as well as supporting the Financial Controller with month-end and other activities as required.
Responsibilities include: Maintaining average costs of raw materials, packaging, WIP and finished goodsProviding variance analysis and managing the budgets around all costing issuesAnalysing production costs and recommending changesDeveloping and maintaining accurate costing systems in relation to labour, production methods and material supplyEnsuring all costs are identified and recorded accuratelyPlaying an active role in costing new productsPartnering with the business to determine and implement process improvementsPerforming month-end cost accounting close and producing monthly management reports including material costs, labour cost and overheadsConducting analysis of all costsProcessing stock reconciliations and coordination of stocktakes and cycle countsManaging and performing inventory controlsAssisting accountant with month-end closing processTo be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in finance and have experience working in the costing area of manufacturing.
You have advanced Excel skills and experience in MYOB and ERP systems is essential.
You will be highly motivated, a self-starter, and take a proactive and disciplined approach to getting your work done.
You will be joining a friendly, positive, and humble team of finance professionals.
