Penola Catholic College is a co-educational College centered on quality contemporary and learning practices and the values of St Mary MacKillop.
The College is seeking a new staff member with a passion for building student wellbeing and learning capacity.
The position will work in a dynamic team addressing the social, emotional and mental health needs of young people.

The successful applicant will be a member of the School Leadership Team.

This position will attract a 3-point higher duties paid allocation with 0.3 FTE time release, and all teaching KLA areas will be considered.

Position Criteria
The successful person will be responsible for:
Facilitating the development of the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program Years 7-12 with the Wellbeing Team Working strategically in an authentic and dynamic partnership supporting the wellbeing and learning responsibilities with Year Leaders of Learning Developing proactive and responsive strategic plans to promote positive student wellbeing and student management strategies Designing targeted programs to address social, emotional interventions and mental health/wellbeing needs of students and their families Co-developing student risk management behaviour and/or attendance plans with the Wellbeing Team members, Counsellor Diversity leader, Leadership Team and CSPD system leaders The applicant must submit with their application the following:
A current CV Nominated professional referees (must be two) Current Working with Children's Check This position involves working with children.
The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD's Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.

CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Successful Candidates for all positions at CSPD must have a valid Working With Children Check.
