The Application Design Engineer will be responsible for working with our sales team, customers and consultants to design and price solutions that meet the customers requirements while putting Schneider in a winning position.
Our projects range from small to large technical services packages with high levels of system integration and can be on construction sites or within operating Data Centers.

Responsibilities * Build sales plan and execute in partnership with sales team.
* Act as the technical interface between sales and sales support, Line of Business and customers in line with the regional business strategy * Identify opportunities in co-operation with sales team * Assist sales with a higher level of expertise in front of selected customers * Work as part of the GCP RAC team, attend team meetings, 1 to 1 sessions with manager and project sales updates * Deliver project solutions to achieve desired outcomes * Manage solutions to ensure margin and profitability is maintained * Ensure compliance to the Schneider Electric Customer Project Process * Manage Risk and opportunity across all projects Ideal Candidate * Degree or Diploma qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering * More than 5 years' experience as an Application Engineer * In depth knowledge of relevant communications technologies e.g.
Ethernet, serial, Modbus, IEC61850, DNP * Ability to build relationships with relevant technical and commercial representatives of key customers * Ability to represent Schneider Electric and work collaboratively with other Schneider Electric Businesses * Basic understanding of business and financial terms such as Capex, Opex, ROI, etc.
