Managing Director The Company You'll JoinA rapidly growing dry-hire company, with a turnover in the tens of millions.Providing heavy earthmoving equipment rental, hydraulic hosing products and full maintenance services to a range of surface mines across The Bowen Basin, Mt Isa and other areas of QLD.Their vision is to be a leading mining & civil support supplier of equipment and hydraulic hosing on the Eastern Seaboard.They deliver options for customers to incorporate fully maintained packages that allow operational control without the maintenance costs and concerns that accompany maintaining a rental fleet.Their fleet includes a wide range of OEMs, with a focus on supplying quality equipment with high operational standards.Their fleet includes dozers, excavators, graders, water trucks etc.They pride themselves on their safety culture.Trust, performance and affordability are some of the attributes synonymous with this business.The OpportunityThe Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for running and managing all maintenance activities and site-based/mobile personnel across QLD, based from the base in Mackay.With a busy contractor team to manage and coordinate, strong people management will form a large part of this role.Based from facility in Mackay, the Maintenance Superintendent will need to travel across all mines in the Bowen Basin, Mt Isa and more regional areas to deal with customers, teams and fleet.Strong aptitude for handling issues and troubleshooting, with the ability to mitigate any escalations with customers.Ability to look at cost efficiencies, machinery efficiency and make strategic and well thought out business decisions relating to maintenance and budgets.Working closely with the BDM in QLD to increase broader presence and visibility across mine sites whilst visiting customers.Undertaking regular site visits to customers to inspect machinery, discuss maintenance efficiency and handle service reviews.As first line, handling all contractor matters for multiple sites, whilst organically growing an in-house maintenance team for QLD - thereafter management all people related matters for that team.Taking responsibility for Health & Safety.Working closely with the Managing Director to identify goals, improvements and a strategic plan for the Maintenance team.Reporting to the MD and board on sales activity, growth opportunities and performance.You will also be contributing to other activities such as marketing, inventory management and pricing.Your ExperienceYou will have a strong background in maintenance as either a superintendent or supervisor ready to step up.You will have a background/trade qualification as a diesel fitter.Post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment including Caterpillar, Komatsu or Hitachi.You will have experience building and leading a team.You will be confident speaking with customers and the senior management team internally.You will have an aptitude for communication with all people and a proven track record in forming positive professional relationships.You will have the ability to oversee and manage financials and operational results for the maintenance team and confidently discuss projections and budgets with the MD and wider senior leadership team.An ability to work autonomously, managing the department, with support from the wider senior leadership team as needs.You will be based in Mackay with flexibility to visit sites as needed.Highly Desired Qualifications / AccreditationsAbility to undertake and pass Standard 11S1, S2 & S3RII TicketMDG15 - Mine specifications experienceConfined SpaceWork Safely at HeightsValid MR/HR licenseHigh-Risk Work License (EWP, Forklift, Dogging)If you, or someone you know, is interested in this opportunity, please reach out to Jenny Bull on 0473 745 468 or ****** for further information or hit apply
