By joining our global team and learning from renowned subject matter experts, we can offer you a diverse career that could take you anywhere in the world.Lycopodium Minerals is currently recruiting for a Principal Piping Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Perth.Reporting to the Group Manager - Engineering, this position will involve, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:Providing proficient and accurate design input for the production of mechanical drawings;Coordinating all engineering disciplines in the development of Study/ Project designs;Piping design and provision of information to draftsmen for the preparation of design drawings;Development and review of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs);Reviewing of vendor certified documentation (drawings, data sheets and manuals) and responsibility for the implementation of engineering interface data onto the drawings via the draftsmen;Conducting timely reviews of Project piping/ mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent;Performing accurate engineering design and calculations in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards;Interpreting engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes;Identifying scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly;Ensuring correctly specified equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables.The expertise you'll bring:Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalentMinimum 15 years of experience in Mineral Processing ideally in an EPCM environmentPiping design experience in mineral processing plantsExperience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageousAbility to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including Clients, vendors and co-workersSolid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and exceptional knowledge across a broad range of disciplinesProven time management and organisational skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationThe benefits we'll provideLycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
