About Us: At Assembly Yard, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional event experiences. From weddings and concerts to corporate functions and photoshoots, our versatile venue caters to a diverse range of events, and we're looking for a dynamic Events & Operations Manager to join our team.Position Overview: The Events & Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of our venue. You will ensure the safe and efficient running of all events while fostering strong client relationships and upholding our commitment to occupational health and safety. This position involves managing bookings, pay runs, and suppliers, designing events, and coordinating with clients and vendors to create unforgettable experiences.Key Responsibilities:Event Management: Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring operational standards and OHS compliance are maintained at all times. Must have an understanding and use of design programs such as; Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the event process.Team Management: Ability to schedule staff and respond to staff needs.Communication: Liaise effectively with clients and vendors to clarify responsibilities and ensure seamless execution of events.Venue Maintenance: Conduct regular walkthroughs of the venue, identifying and addressing any hazards, and ensuring the venue is well-maintained and presentable.Operational Compliance: Understand and adhere to internal systems and operations, ensuring the venue performs at its best.Professional Development: Participate in training modules as needed, with a Professional Development Plan (PDP) provided to support your growth.Problem Solving: Proactively address any issues that arise, working towards solutions before escalating to management when necessary.Budget Management: Work collaboratively with clients to suggest services and products that align with their budgets and expectations.Qualifications & Requirements:Proven experience in event management and/or operations.Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and build strong relationships with clients.Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and managing event logistics.Commitment to maintaining high operational standards and safety protocols.Xero software experience would be ideal.Available on weekends & late nights where required.RSA Certificate.Reliable & mature.Why Join Us?
