Position: Engineering Manager
Location: New South Wales, Australia
Salary: Approximately $170,000 plus Superannuation
Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified overseas candidates
Overview: The role involves developing and implementing effective maintenance programs for all plant and equipment including LiSEC equipment, to minimize downtime, optimize production efficiency, and ensure top-quality product output.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance: Champion safety within the engineering team and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Process Improvement: Oversee maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues specifically LiSEC related, and collaborate with production teams to enhance efficiency and quality.
Project Management: Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver on project goals.
Equipment Management: Provide leadership on LiSEC equipment, oversee installations, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of all equipment.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with Operational Excellence and Production teams to uphold quality standards and address any non-conformance issues.
Cost and Sustainability Management: Manage the engineering budget, identify cost-saving initiatives, and implement sustainable manufacturing practices.
Qualifications and Experience: Proven track record in managing a team of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience with LiSEC systems and equipment.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field.
Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with the glass processing industry and maintenance software like MEX is highly desirable.
