Field Service Engineer – Sydney, AUJob SummaryJoin our team as a Field Service Engineer, where you'll provide expert technical support in repairing, testing, calibrating, and installing advanced laser systems.
In this role, you'll interact with customers, maintain accurate service records, and ensure equipment meets specifications, all while building strong relationships within the Sales and Service teams.
Working primarily around the greater Sydney region.
Short notice travel is a requirement.
Restricted electrical license is an advantage.
If you have 5-10 years of hands-on experience with medical laser equipment, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer support in the medical field, this is your opportunity to do work that improves people's lives.
Sciton will pay for laptop, cell phone up to $125/month, and vehicle, in certain areas.
Benefits And CompensationThe salary range for this position is $100k—$110k.
In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton offers the opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) with matching.
In This Role, You Will Engage In The FollowingInstall, service and maintain medical laser systems; Nd:YAG, Er:YAG and intense pulsed light.Provide professional, courteous, enthusiastic, prompt, and skilled technical service to Sciton customers.Use your extensive technical troubleshooting and customer support background to provide front line support to Sciton customers encountering technical problems.Respond to service requests and ensure on-site repair within 48 hours.Collaborate with colleagues to establish, maintain, and update technical support processes providing responses/answers to common questions and problems.Take initiative to ensure customer satisfaction and improvement of the service department processes and procedures.Build trust with customers by ensuring integrity and accountability.Partner with cross-functional Sciton departments to ensure comprehensive, coordinated, and effective communication and support approaches.Ensure high output level while managing competing demands.Essential RequirementsBachelor's or Associate degree in electronics, laser technology or equivalent with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in electronic system troubleshooting, technical support, customer service, and dispatch experience.Medical devices experience a strong plus.Ability to manage and assist in the shipment of service parts to customer sites.Knowledge of optics, electronics, cooling systems, power supplies and laser systems.Strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and ability to communicate with others clearly and tactfully.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel suite required.Prioritization and multi-tasking skills required.Excellent communication, customer interaction and phone interaction skills required.This role is subject to occasional short-notice traveling.FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-TimePOSITION: Field Service EngineerLOCATION: Sydney, AUAbout ScitonSciton is an industry leader and manufacturer of medical aesthetic lasers and light source technologies.
