North Lane has been exclusively engaged to source a Lead Payroll Officer for one of WA's fastest growing, diversified and multi-disciplined contractors. Based in Perth, this role will oversee the company's payroll function, ensuring contracted wages and salaries are processed according to conditions and other legislative requirements, such as payroll tax, PAYG, and superannuation contributions.Currently using MYOB and soon to transition to a leading ERP system, this role is offered on a part-time basis either 3 or 4 days per week (in office). Payruns are completed on a fortnightly basis with a mix of staff and casual, blue-collar workforce personnel (circa 600-800).About the role:This role will be responsible for:Accurate maintenance of payroll data and records.Proactive engagement with business unit Area Managers for payroll related reconciliations.Assistance for our employees when questions or queries are raised regarding pay.Coordinate and process superannuation, payroll tax, worker compensation, and PAYG lodgements.Provide technical advice relating to payroll legislation, including Australian Taxation and Super Guarantee legislation.Offer guidance and support in all matters related to payroll processing.About you:You should have:A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in high volume payroll processing.Able to prioritize tasks and demonstrate good time management skills, particularly relating to strict deadlines.Very strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.An open-minded approach to people, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.Ability to work autonomously within your discipline, but able to work within a team sharing team tasks when required.Pronto experience desirable.Apply online today.
