General Manager (Switchboard Manufacturing) About the role
As the General Manager (Switchboard Manufacturing), you will lead a team responsible for the efficient production of high-quality switchboards for a diverse range of clients.
Based in Silverwater, NSW, this full-time role will see you driving operational excellence, overseeing safety and quality standards, and implementing strategies to ensure the ongoing success of the manufacturing business.
What you'll be doing
Setting the strategic direction for the switchboard manufacturing operations and aligning the team to achieve key business objectives Overseeing all aspects of production, including production planning, inventory management, and quality assurance Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Building and leading a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams Analysing data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-making What we're looking for
Substantial experience (8+ years) in a senior manufacturing or operations management role, preferably within the switchboard or electrical equipment industry Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills Tertiary qualifications in engineering, operations management, or a related field What we offer
