Melbourne, Österreich Tideri Jobbörse Vollzeit

Voyager Renewables is a local Australian energy company established by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).
We're here to grow the Australian energy sector with new large-scale wind, solar and battery energy storage solutions that will deliver tangible benefits to the regions.
Our team is committed to best-in-class community engagement, technical and financial solutions to develop clean energy projects from concept to completion - and beyond.
As a progressive developer, partnerships are at our core; we value long term relationships with local landholders, Traditional Owners, corporate land managers and communities.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Development Manager to spearhead our renewable energy initiatives, with a primary focus on identified wind projects in Victoria and potentially South Australia.
This pivotal role involves early development, strategic planning, project execution, and collaboration with various stakeholders including consultants to drive sustainable energy solutions.

The position
As a Senior Project Development Manager, you will be involved in the various end-to-end project development for renewable energy projects in the Voyager portfolio.
You will focus on strategic stakeholder management, financial management, risk management, strategic planning, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for a portfolio of wind energy projects, considering both short-term and long-term goals to reach FID.
Determine and secure tenure to the land for each project, working with the land liaison and legal teams to define project boundaries and developable areas.
Derisk the projects and oversee the full project development life cycle, from site identification and feasibility studies to permitting, design, and construction.
Effectively communicate with regulatory authorities, landowners, and local communities to build positive relationships and navigate regulatory processes.
Work closely with finance teams to prepare budgets, secure funding, and manage project finances throughout development.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with project development, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, bankability and planning requirements.
Stay abreast of advancements in wind energy technology and evaluate potential integration of other renewable energy technologies for diversified projects.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and opportunities.
Key Interfaces:
Engage with regulatory bodies, local councils and state administrations to ensure compliance, navigate the evolving landscape of renewable energy policies and incentives and progress the permitting.
Foster and maintain productive relationships with our host landowners to advance project outcomes and build our reputation as developer of choice in the regions.
Foster positive relationships with communities surrounding project sites, addressing concerns and ensuring community engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with land, planning and engineering contractors and owners representatives to oversee the development and design of wind energy projects.
Work closely with financial counterparts to manage project budgets effectively and secure funding.
Evaluate and collaborate with suppliers for cutting-edge wind energy technologies, while exploring other renewable energy options.
About you
We expect that you have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field.

Key qualifications include:
Proven experience in developing and managing renewable energy projects, with a focus on wind energy.
Strong knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and Australian renewable energy policies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Passionate about driving the transition to sustainable energy and have a proven track record in renewable project development.
