Business Development Manager - Capital Equipment Our client is a well-known, Australian-owned and operated brand with a national presence, providing quality equipment to some of the largest construction projects across Australia.
Looking to capitalize on what has been a successful 2024, they are seeking to expand their team in 2025 by hiring an experienced Business Development Manager.
The Role
This position is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience, preferably within the construction industry, focused on selling or hiring capital equipment.
The main responsibilities include managing and expanding key client accounts in the tier 1 and 2 sectors.
You will have the opportunity to hunt for new projects, stay up to date with current market trends, and effectively communicate with existing customers regarding project timelines and equipment delivery.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients will be crucial, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and uncovering opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
You will be the face of the company, delivering compelling sales presentations tailored to each client's unique requirements.
Working collaboratively with the sales support team, you will develop comprehensive proposals and quotes, steering negotiations to secure profitable contracts.
Your role involves meticulous sales reporting, maintaining accurate records, and regularly updating the Sales Manager on your progress.
What We're Looking For
2-3 years' experience in the hire industry or sales of capital equipment is essential Experience in hire or sales within generators or compressor will be highly advantageous Previous experience dealing with clients in the Tier 1-2 space Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment On Offer:
Competitive base salary of $110,000 plus superannuation Fully maintained company vehicle provided Phone and Laptop Interviewing immediately for the right person.
