Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this position is responsible for carrying out a range of fabrication, repair, and maintenance activities to customers' forklifts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Fabrication of steel components for material handling applications; Modification of forklifts and other material handling equipment; General fabrication and assembly of ancillary items for material handling applications; Repair of forklifts and other material handling equipment using metal-work techniques; Skills and Experience:
Relevant trade qualification; Strong welding competencies using MIG, TIG, Arc, and Oxy-Acetylene; Demonstrated experience in a similar fabrication or engineering role; Demonstrated machine-shop experience using lathes, milling machines, press-brake, etc.
; Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; Competent in the use of hand and power tools; Forklift licence preferred but not essential; Full understanding of WHS, with a commitment to working safely and maintaining a clean workstation; Sound communication skills; Strong ability to work as part of a team; Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task; Our Commitment:
