Are you a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Psychologist looking to move and specialise more in Outreach?
Do you have 2-3 years' experience as a sole clinician working in adult mental health or drug and alcohol settings?
The role is designed to ensure individuals residing in Buronga and surrounding communities have access to timely and effective MHDA assessment, treatment, and counselling for the effects of mental illness, significant psychosocial distress, and suicidality, inclusive of high-risk civil consumers and people released from custody.
It is offered in response to ongoing social stressors in these areas including isolation, drought, higher than average unemployment levels, higher than average levels of substance misuse, and higher levels of incarceration.

How to apply:To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible. Recognised degree in psychology, social work, or occupational therapy with eligibility for NSW Registration/Professional Association where relevant.Experience working in a multidisciplinary adult mental health and/or drug and alcohol setting.Excellent networking skills, with the capacity to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups including people with lived experience of suicide and recovery.Demonstrated experience in the provision of evidence-based treatment techniques and assessment procedures to mental health and/or drug and alcohol consumers in a community setting.Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal, with intermediate computer skills, including use of the Microsoft Office suite.Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the recovery model and patient-centred care.Demonstrated ability to work in a manner that engenders mutual respect in a cross-cultural environment.Current licence to drive in NSW.Need more information?For role-related queries or questions contact Tracey Zeiser on
