Circularity Engagement Officer x 4$39.14 per hour casual rate (inclusive of casual loading)This is a Band 2 position on the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration.What's On OfferThe City of Kwinana is seeking passionate and driven Circularity Engagement Officers, to join the Environment and Waste Team on a casual basis to fulfill an exciting opportunity to directly contribute to community and sustainability outcomes. You will need to have knowledge of, or passion for, waste management, community behaviour change and good inter-personal skills as you will interact with members of the public.Reporting to the Circularity Lead, the Circularity Engagement Officer's responsibilities include conducting manual audits of waste streams gathering quantitative and qualitative data and elevating community awareness about recycling and resource recovery, as well as being involved with events and programs that align to the City's Waste Education Plan and overarching Strategic Community Plan.Please note: Your hours of work may vary and will be based on operational requirements. You may also be required to work on weekends for Events.What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you will need the following:Essential: Officers are required to work shifts a minimum of two hours on weekdays and when required for weekend events. Over 18 years of age with the ability to work in Australia (passport or appropriate work visa)A reasonable level of fitness and able to walk/stand for three hours. Mobile phone.
