Medical Consultant (Pathology) Job no: 890461 Work type: Part time Location: Adelaide CBD Categories: Pathology Central Adelaide Local Health Network Statewide – SA Pathology  Salary: $365,798 - $713,692 p.a pro rata Total Indicative Remuneration Salary (subject to private practice agreement) Adelaide SA, 5000 Part Time, Permanent Role About the role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Consultant Immunopathologist to join our team within the Immunology Laboratory at SA Pathology.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the provision of high-quality immunopathology laboratory services.
You will collaborate extensively with clinicians in hospital settings, ensuring seamless integration of immunopathology expertise into patient care and supporting excellence in healthcare delivery.
As a Medical Consultant, you will work closely with the laboratory manager within the Immunology Directorate, supervise and mentor trainees and registrars, and play a key role in their professional development.
Your responsibilities will also include active participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings, where your insights and expertise will help shape critical decisions and advancements.

About You We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced professional with a strong background in immunopathology to join our team.
You will bring exceptional skills, expertise, and a collaborative approach to deliver outstanding laboratory services.
Skills and Abilities: You excel at organising work, setting priorities, and communicating effectively within a specialised field.
Your logical thinking and ability to collaborate with all levels of staff and service users ensure smooth operations.
Extensive Experience: You have demonstrated experience in immunopathology, including flow cytometry (haemato-oncology and immunodeficiency), allergy testing, immunochemistry, autoimmunity and immunogenetics.
Experience in laboratory quality management is essential.
Comprehensive Knowledge: You possess extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques, and principles of laboratory and personnel management.
Familiarity with NATA accreditation and relevant legislation is also key.
Collaborative and Proactive: Your cooperative approach and ability to work effectively in a team ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services.
