The capability within the team is very diverse with specialised skillset and deep knowledge within the Wealth Industry.
Roles within the team cover Strategic Planning, Business and Systems Analysis, Development, Architecture, Testing, and Production Support.
North delivery team work very closely with our business partners across the Client Services, Platform, Product, Distribution, Marketing, and other finance areas and have deep appreciation of how Technology plays a pivotal role in helping these partners achieve successful outcomes.
This is a contingent contract role working at AMP.
The Opportunity The Project Manager will work with a variety of business and technology stakeholders to deliver a high quality and innovative superannuation and investment platform to the market.
The Project Manager will work with stakeholders to establish priorities, then organise and coordinate the relevant Technology and Business teams to respond to those priorities.
About the role: Support the development of business cases by coordinating production of estimatesWork with stakeholders to establish priorities and turn these into executable plans by working with the impacted business and technology teamManage stakeholder expectations through clear and concise communicationManage project finances from estimating through the budget tracking and forecastingEffectively manage project risks and issuesBuild and foster effective relationships with Business and IT teams internally and externally.Job Specific capabilities required: Project Delivery Strong understanding of the Superannuation and Investment Platform marketsAbility to engage with other technology and business teams to understand their objectives and guide in delivery of solutions on the platformAbility to identify and manage project risk and issuesAbility to formulate plans and strategies to deliver to multiple stakeholders across multiple initiativesStrong focus on application best practice software development practicesAbility to lead and inspire teams to deliver successful outcomesRelationship Management Ensure you have a strong internal network covering all technology teams (including development portfolios and architecture)Build and maintain close working relationships with key business stakeholders to understand their plans and ensure they are considered in strategic planning and solution deliveryWork closely with 3rd party suppliers who deliver and manage the application and supporting platform infrastructureStrong focus on supporting Operational through definition and delivery of a robust and resilient platformOther Develop and instil a continuous improvement culture via a focus on innovation and process.Consulting to business stakeholders, project managements, Heads of Technology and IT directorsAbout you: Demonstrated Project Management experience within the financial services industryProject Management certifications would be advantageousExperience with aligning business strategic planning with IT strategic planningStrong understanding of project delivery methods and principlesStrong understanding of the Superannuation and Investment Platform marketsExperience delivering technology change across the software development life cycle (SDLC)Management of external suppliers in delivering technology changesAppropriate tertiary qualifications and relevant industry experienceWorking at AMP We are transforming our business.
