About the Role The Manager, Building Contracts and Disputes will lead and manage a team to deliver complex policy advice and projects related to the building and plumbing industries, including the development of project plans, monitoring performance against objectives, managing risks and issues, and ensuring that objectives are delivered on time. This role is a member of the Building Division leadership team. Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level strategic policy advice and the delivery of policy projects, as well as experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams in the public or private sectors are required in this role.
Lead and manage a team to deliver complex projects and policy advice related to the building and plumbing industries, including the development of project plans, monitoring performance against objectives, managing risks and issues, and ensuring that objectives are delivered on time.Provide high level and timely advice on significant building systems reform to the Minister for Planning and the Executive Team of the Planning and Land Services Group.Oversee the management of resource allocations, budget, procurement, contract management, risks, project milestones and deliverables, project governance and reporting.Identify emerging issues and ensure appropriate responses, including risk analyses and the preparation of reports for consideration by the Director, Executive Director, government, senior management, and stakeholders.Key Selection Criteria The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking an experienced Manager for Building Contracts and Disputes. This role is a leadership position that combines strategic oversight, stakeholder management, and project delivery expertise to support the department's goals.

You will champion values-based decision-making and ethical leadership, setting a standard for collaboration and flexibility in achieving outcomes.
