Senior Experience Designer $143,798 per annum + superannuationFull time, OngoingGeelong location (hybrid working model - 3 days in the office)Come and join a progressive and rewarding business to protect our Victorian workers and return them home safely every day.
About the role Senior Experience Designers ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of design projects, ensuring that outcomes are delivered on time.
They provide design leadership across multidisciplinary teams and within the design practice to ensure delivery of high-quality work.
Senior Experience Designers inform solutions and move them towards delivery through creating future states, road maps and experience prototypes that ensure desirable, viable and feasible experiences are delivered effectively and efficiently.
You will be: Leading and overseeing delivery of numerous design initiatives at any given time, developing a deep understanding of project plans, intended strategic outcomes and key deliverables, effectively collaborating with senior stakeholders and clarifying assumptions.Providing technical leadership and guidance across a number of deliverables and undertake regular meetings with stakeholders regarding deliverables, expectations, and potential risks and issues.Providing design leadership as part of a multidisciplinary project team, coordinating Designers and Associate Designers to deliver consistent design methodologies across projects that are of high quality and within agreed timeframes.Developing and overseeing engagement approaches, guiding and leading the design and facilitation of workshops with Designers and Associate Designers, including bringing clarity to current state experiences, ensuring that these are well understood and agreed by all relevant stakeholders through the creation of artefacts that capture complex systems, experiences, information architecture and represent both quantitative and qualitative research results.Leading the development of product strategies, road maps, experience prototypes and user research plans that can deliver new services and products through iterating design based on desirability, viability, and feasibility.About you You have demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and upskilling people in Experience Design and Agile methods, advocating for design within an agile environment.
You are motivated and capable of looking at problems through a user-centric lens.
As the sole Designer in your squad, you will have demonstrated your ability to work autonomously.
Your communication skills are excellent and you have demonstrated your ability to liaise with all levels of an organisation including Executive.
Not only will you have an ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of the Insurance and Health and Safety legislation, you also have a nous for working in an embedded product team within traditional government structure.
Further, you will also possess:
An ability to think creatively, and develop new and innovative ways of approaching problems/opportunities and engaging with various audiences.Proven ability to work with clients and to leverage design methodologies to understand their needs and wants.Proven ability to experiment by leveraging concept testing tools and techniques to iterate potential solutions.Proven ability to manage projects with a high level of ambiguity and to support design and product teams through ambiguity to deliver positive outcomes.An ability to work with all levels of our organisation from the CEO and senior leadership teams to new graduates and junior staff members.Qualifications:
