A bit about your role
As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, architecture, and management of the Storage and Backup platforms. You will be a go-to expert and escalation point for data centre (DC) support on storage and backup issues. Additionally, you will ensure seamless delivery of capacity planning and release management for the platforms, driving essential upgrades for software, patches, and firmware.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, maintain, and enhance the management systems supporting our Storage and Backup infrastructure. You will also oversee the periodic and preventive maintenance of the systems, ensuring the ongoing stability and security of our data environments.
A bit about you
You are a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in designing and managing complex Storage and Backup systems. You have likely led initiatives focused on seamless delivery of capacity planning and release management for large-scale environments. In doing so, you ensured stability, security, and continuous improvement throughout the process.
Your experience includes working with technologies like Dell PowerProtect, Avamar, Data Domain, and Isilon, making you adept at handling mission-critical applications and high-performance environments. You excel at collaborating across teams and using your problem-solving skills to design solutions involving high-end Blade Servers, Virtualisation, and Clustering Technologies. Your proactive approach ensures systems are always running smoothly, whether through automation using scripting or by implementing preventive maintenance strategies.
