About UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityOur Mining Assembly division has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced fitter to join our site-based team on a 2/2 roster. Your key focus will be to work in a team of mining assembly employees on the new machine site builds.Responsibilities include:Ensuring all new machine assembly, onsite builds and commissioning is completed as scheduled.Maintain housekeeping standards within your allocated area.Liaise closely with mining assembly supervisor and leading hand to ensure that the customer receives exactly what they have ordered, and delivery targets are achieved.Responsible for delivery, site assembly for mining machines.Responsible to maintain build tooling, containers and Hydraulic Power Pack units.To be successful in this role you will:Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else.Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) mobile plant trade qualifications.Have previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.Must have Forklift/ dogging/ Rigging/ EWP and Working at Heights certifications.BenefitsPermanent Full Time fitter Position in a leading OEM with long term job security.Flexible 2/2 even time roster, + potential overtime + company biannual bonusesScaled rates – starting rate $69/hr, potential to qualify for more based on yearly performance & training completed.All travel hours on site paid – airport to site, intersite, and site to camp / vice versa.Competitive pay rate, zone allowance, Field allowance & the potential to earn bi-annual bonuses190hr annual leave & 76 hours personal leave per annum.1hr of Airport standby time & 2hrs of flight travel time paid to/from the Site.Reimbursements paid for transport to and from home to airport, or airport parking.Rewarding employee benefits on a range of goods and services with exclusive staff discounts.Ongoing training and opportunities for upskilling with access to the latest technologies.Supportive management who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving success.At Hitachi, we value our people and work towards providing guidance on your career path towards a rewarding and successful experience.
