About Us: Monash Children's Health and Wellbeing Local - an innovative interdisciplinary service to improve the health and wellbeing of children with access to a one stop service for mental health care, health and wellbeing support for the whole family.
Monash Health is an appointed lead provider for the new Monash Children's Health and Wellbeing Local (Monash Children's Local), a one-stop service to provide therapy that involves all aspects of an infant's or child's life from 0-11 years.
The Monash Children's Local has dedicated funding for community health, mental health, and family support services to enable mental health consultations, assessments, and treatments to infants, children and families in the South-eastern region of Victoria.
A unique new service for Victorian families to access specialist mental health treatment, developmental assessments, or paediatrician-led medical care with a renewed innovative focus to enable early intervention and age-appropriate care to meet development and mental health challenges in younger children.
About the Role - Occupational Therapist, Grade 2 (Full time temp maternity leave position) The Monash Children's Local Mental Health team will provide mental health consultation, assessment, and treatment to infants, children and their families.
An integral part of the Mental Health Clinicians team, the Occupational Therapist will provide:
Assessing and treating children 0 - 11 with mental health difficulties.
This Occupational Therapist will have training, qualifications and experience in assessing and treating young people who have difficulties with their mental health and occupational functioning including specific assessment of an individual's sensory processing and motor development.
They will provide discipline specific assessment, formulation, recommendations and reports.This position has funded training opportunities and includes family centred practice, trauma informed care and assessments.

To ensure your success in this role, you will have the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
Current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Occupational Therapy, with no restrictionsYou will have experience in a mental health service and/or extensive experience in a relevant area of practice (e.g.
