Location ProfileEstablished in 2011, Wyndham Park Primary School is a vibrant learning community nestled in the heart of Werribee. Our state-of-the-art facilities provide a nurturing environment focused on fostering strong Literacy and Numeracy skills. With an average enrollment of approximately 400 students, Wyndham Park Primary School is home to 19 classes organized into four dynamic learning communities. Our enriching specialist programs include Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Spanish.
Our team comprises highly motivated professionals, including School Leaders, Teachers, Education Support Staff, and Volunteers. Collaboratively, they work within Professional Learning Community Teams to deliver a comprehensive educational program, enhanced by a wide range of Information Technology resources.
Wyndham Park Primary School places a strong emphasis on Social and Emotional Learning through our Respectful Relationships curriculum and targeted support interventions. Our dedicated Wellbeing Team includes various professionals who offer comprehensive physical and mental health support.

Selection CriteriaSC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
RoleThe classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges- range 1 and range 2. The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
Range 2 classroom teachers will be expected to:
Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all studentsModel exemplary classroom practice and mentor/coach other teachersProvide expert advice about the content, processes and strategies for professional learningSupervise and train student teachersAssist staff to use student data to inform teaching approachesRange 1 classroom teachers focus on developing skills and competencies to become effective practitioners with structured support.
ResponsibilitiesThe role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach.
