Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time About the Role: A rare and fantastic opportunity is now available for a passionate individual to join our growing organisation as an Environment Manager based in our Erskine Park office.
You will assist supporting various aspects of environmental management, including monitoring & compliance, risk management, and quality assurance within the tyre recycling industry.
Reporting to the General Manager - Operations, you will provide Senior Leadership to the development and direction of environmental and sustainability strategy, whilst collaborating with cross divisional peers and other Senior Leadership.
You will have key responsibilities in: Assist with the development and implementation of Tyrecycle's Environmental StrategyEngaging with regulators and obtaining approvals for key environmental projectsPrepare monthly environmental reports for the BoardActing as the management representative for ISO 14001Engage with and maintain strong collaborative relationships with government and regulatory authorities and other stakeholdersAssist in carrying out internal HSEQ audits and maintain HSEQ systemsSupport site management with the EPA, Council, and external consultants in the areas of licence management, waste tracking, disposal, transport/tracking and environmental mattersWork with the General Manager - Operations to prepare the annual Environment plan/objectives and targets for TyrecycleEnsure EPA Licence conditions are met for each siteImplement and support compliance with Tyrecycle safety systemsInfluence safety culture improvementAbout you: Tertiary (to Cert IV level) or Bachelor of Engineering within Environmental, Science or Sustainability related discipline a prerequisiteExperience implementing Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Environmental Management position, preferably within the Recycling or Manufacturing IndustriesStrong interpersonal skills, communication skills and negotiation skillsGood organizational and planning skillsSound leadership skills and abilitiesCurrent and valid driver's licenceAbility to travel within Australia as per business requirementsWho we are: Tyrecycle, is ResourceCo's tyre recycling business and proudly, Australia's leading tyre recycler.
