At Hatch, you will be part of an employee-owned multidisciplinary professional services firm that delivers a comprehensive range of technical and strategic services, including consulting, technology, engineering, process development, project and construction management to the Mining, Metallurgical, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors.
Hatch is seeking a Global Director to lead and drive Operational Readiness across Hatch's global regions which include North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, India, and Australia/Asia.
Reporting to the Managing Director of CORE (Commissioning, Operational Readiness and Ramp-up Excellence), the Global Director will lead teams of specialists and analysts mandated with finding the best solutions for clients across the firm's mining, metals, energy, and infrastructure businesses.
The scope also includes delivering expert services to senior executives for operational readiness, ramp-up, operational improvement support, and asset management.
The position can be based in any of our regional locations and will require 30%-50% travel.
As the successful candidate, you will: Work with the CORE Regional leaders to refine and implement the strategic direction for Operational Readiness.
Lead the expansion of the Operational Readiness business and brand into North American markets.
Remain abreast of the industry, competitors, and trends.
Manage and execute tailor-made operational services and transition to operation programs for clients.
Work closely with client operation teams on its operational readiness, commissioning, and ramp up projects.
Provide technologies and solutions in close collaboration with Hatch's Digital and Technical Group.
You bring to the role: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Demonstrated experience within a heavy industry environment.
Demonstrated operational experience in areas of Asset Management, Operations or Maintenance.
A strategic mindset, with excellent communication skills.
Highly collaborative, strong team orientation.
Experience with project and team management.
Excellent analytical and summarization skills.
Strong ability to influence and negotiate.
Willingness and ability to travel across the country and internationally for work.
Unrestricted working and living rights for Australia.
The following is considered an asset: Cross-functional experience within operations.
Proven experience in building practices focused on operational improvement.
Experience in managing or executing large-scale operational projects.
MBA or EMBA in business administration, strategy, finance, or a relevant field.
