We are looking to hire a Financial Accountant on a contract until March 2025.
You'll be responsible for: Deliver year-end financial statement and regulatory reporting compilation process, including full analysis of figures, preparation of Board / Audit Committee papers and facilitate requests from the external auditor.Perform month/quarter end close processes for Allianz operations including subsidiaries, analyse and challenge information provided to ensure figures are clearly understood and supported.Implement and maintain an appropriate control framework to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting.
Proactively improve month-end processes and controls through appropriate risk recognition and mitigation.Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances proactively.Establish strong working relationships within and outside of Finance, be a 'go-to person' for areas of responsibility and understand the business, their strategies and drivers, and how these support the numbers being reported.Assisting with ad hoc projects-e.g.
implementation of new accounting standards, review of strategic business proposals, acquisitions/divestments.Support the annual planning process for Allianz's subsidiaries and collaborate with stakeholders to understand strategies and drivers of the business.About you: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and CA / CPA qualified.Open to Working Holiday Visa holdersExperience in insurance or financial services in a financial accounting or statutory reporting role.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written to build and maintain strong business relationships in a team-based environment.Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise your work.A positive, proactive and resilient attitude to embrace change and innovation.Experience with SAP, TM1 reporting, as well as strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.Proven analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and challenge data and results.What's on offer: Be part of a team that's open-minded, supportive, and genuinely focused on customer outcomes.A sense of belonging in the workplace, where you are welcomed and encouraged to bring your most authentic self to work.An employer that is committed to supporting your work/life balance and is always open to conversations about flexible & remote working.Access to over 10,000 on-demand learning resources and programs, to support you in taking control of your career development.Insurance products.
