Benefits and Culture Salary range: $87,339 - $106,747 + SuperFlexibility in work arrangements, including remote work opportunitiesGenerous leave provisions (annual, family, cultural, parental)Opportunities for professional growth and involvement in innovative conservation programsIndigenous senior leadership and board members The Role As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships Manager, you will lead and support regional staff in strengthening relationships with Traditional Custodians.
You will champion Bush Heritage's commitment to a "right-way" approach to Caring for Country by fostering respectful partnerships, supporting conservation initiatives, and contributing to Aboriginal cultural capability across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include: Managing and deepening partnerships with Traditional Custodians in mid-west and south-west WASupporting reserve and landscape managers to engage effectively with Traditional CustodiansFacilitating Healthy Country Planning and co-developing conservation programs with Aboriginal partnersCollaborating with philanthropy and corporate teams to secure resources for partnership growthRegular travel to regional and remote areas to build and maintain relationships Skills and Experience You are a natural community networker who has strong connections in mid/south-west Western Australia, with a commitment to caring for country and nature conservation.
You engage and build respectful, meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal peoples in contemporary Australia.
Your background includes working with government, businesses, or NGOs to foster partnerships that empower Traditional Custodians.
Additionally, you may have experience in remote communities, and an understanding of conservation planning.
This vacancy is open to all persons, but eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants will be assessed first, and offered the vacancy if they meet the essential selection criteria and are suitable for the position.
