They have a diverse project portfolio consisting of Industrial, residential, aged care and commercial as well as a Civil contracting business. Our customer generates a steady revenue stream that currently sits at just over $100m per annum in QLD and more in Victoria.
The company originates from Victoria, but they have an established team based in Brisbane with some exciting growth planned for the QLD division. Due to this forecast growth, they are looking to add a new Safety Advisor to join the team at the Sunshine Coast.
The Role The Safety Advisor is required for a Site Based role at the multistage project at Sunrise Beach. The first stage is valued at around $80m and has multiple work fronts.
The Safety Advisor is responsible for managing all safety outcomes on Site. You will have a collaborative approach, working closely with the Site Manager and Supervisors to create a genuine culture for safe work.
You will manage and review all SWMS, run toolbox talks and manage all safety administration. You will have a consistent presence on site and build positive, respectful relationships with your subcontractors, ensuring they fulfill their safety obligations.
You will dovetail into an existing cohesive team to help deliver this critical part of the project.
About you Most importantly – You will be a humble, team player
You will be experienced with commercial processes and systems familiar with Tier 2 and Tier one projects of this scale (Procore/Hammertech etc). Experience working on multi-level (mid to high rise) residential towers is desirable.
You will be a proven leader and passionate about collaborating with your trades and your team, not policing them.
This would suit someone who has worked in a Tier 1 or 2 contractor in a Safety Advisor role for 5 years +. To be considered, your experience must have come from the commercial construction sector (building).
