We manage the State's funding program in the global capital markets to deliver sustainable and cost-effective borrowings for the Queensland Government, local governments, and other related entities (our clients).Are you a strategic leader with expertise in credit advisory? We are seeking a Senior Credit Advisor (12-months max term contract) to join our team and make a significant impact.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a strategic functional leader and subject matter expert in credit advisory.Play a crucial role in Client Credit, collaborating with various divisions.Support the achievement of the state's funding requirements.Work closely with team members in the Advisory Division.Contribute to the overall success of the company.Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesProvide expert level contribution leading and acting as an escalation point for Client Credit Reviews and Borrowing Application assessments.Manage Applying Lending Terms and Conditions.Credit Monitoring and Reporting (Includes managing, enhancing, and building financial databases and spreadsheets).Support the Credit Risk Team in completing its Client Credit Risk responsibilities.Assist the Advisory Division in advising clients on appropriate levels of debt and acceptable credit metrics.Monitor client's compliance with financial covenants and other lending terms and conditions.Make recommendations about the credit worthiness and borrowing requests of clients.Provide advice and information to clients about credit-related issues.Present findings to client representatives including Executive management teams, Board members, and elected officials.Contribute to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board reporting requirements.Support the Credit Risk Team in completing its Strategic Credit Risk responsibilities.Identify issues that impact risk in QTC's exposure to clients.Raise QTC's awareness of these risk issues.Represent QTC on committees and forums internally and externally as required.Act as a mentor and guide for the Credit Risk team.Provide high-level, strategic advice to the Board and Executive Management.Demonstrate expertise and capacity across a broad spectrum of skills.Undertake relevant financial, economic, industry, and statistical analysis.Provide skills in benchmarking, research, reporting, and advocacy.QualificationsDegree in Finance or other related discipline.Master's level qualification or CFA.ExperienceExtensive understanding and experience of Client credit processes and practices.Extensive understanding and experience of Market / Counterparty Credit processes and practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Prior experience in mentoring team members.Experience within the financial sector, government, or semi-government environment.Why will QTC be the best work of your career?We do work that improves Queensland for generations.
