Where the team fits in
As a Payroll Assistant, you'll assist in all aspects of payroll from processing pay runs to answering employee queries.
You'll partner with a wide range of key stakeholders from our employees themselves, Finance & Risk partners and the broader People & Culture function.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to commence a career in Payroll or HR.
What The Role Is All About
Work closely with the rest of the Payroll team to assist with the monthly payroll process, ensuring correctness, eligibility, and timeliness of payments.
Assist with processing of superannuation, redundancy calculations, payroll tax, etc.
Engage with employees at all levels and answer queries in a clear and accurate manner.
Assist in reviewing current payroll practices, determining what efficiencies can be made, if any.
Assist with reporting where required.
Who We're Looking For
6+ months experience in Payroll or HR ideal but not necessary.
Enthusiasm to learn and a passion for numbers.
Payroll compliance knowledge, including sound employment tax and industrial relation knowledge.
Intermediate Excel skills advantageous but not necessary.
General problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
