Mount Gibson Iron Limited is an established independent Australian producer of premium quality direct shipping iron ore (DSO) with assets in the Kimberley and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
Mount Gibson's flagship operation is the Koolan Island mine, located approximately 140km north of Derby in the Buccaneer Archipelago in the Kimberley.
The mine is Australia's highest-grade producer of direct-shipping grade hematite, with an average Ore Reserve grade of 65.5% Fe.

About the role:
We are now seeking to employ an experienced Maintenance Supervisor at our Koolan Island Operation on an 8/6/7/7 (12-hour day) roster from Perth, Broome or Derby.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, the primary focus of this role is providing the first level of leadership for the maintenance team to meet schedule and break down maintenance support to the operations team.
Key tasks and responsibilities

Lead and manage the diverse and multicultural maintenance team to meet preventative and break down activities across various equipment Schedule work and coach/supervise trades people to maintain and adhere to safe work methods and standard work procedures Identify and manage changing work priorities and demands to safely deliver maintenance support across the operation To be successful in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Maintenance Supervisory role or similar role, in a mining environment.
WHS Statutory Mining Supervisor course certification including units of competency BSBWHS411 & BSBWHS414 and passed or able to obtain the applicable law examination for Statutory Supervisors in the relevant time period per the legislation.
Trade qualification in heavy mechanical engineering.
Cat, Hitachi and/or Komatsu experience highly regarded Current Provide First Aid Certificate is highly regarded High level of integrity, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Dedicated commitment to safety and production.
Ability to manage and work in a diverse and multicultural workforce.
Strong time management and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and manage both fixed and mobile plant maintenance priorities to meet operational demands and requirements.
Current WA HR Class driver's license.
