Introduction: The Opportunity
Property Services is excited to announce a newly created position for a Contract Manager.
This permanent, full-time role is based in Newcastle West.
As our Contract Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the performance and compliance of our contractors across all diocesan sites.
Your attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and welcoming environment for our community.
About you The ideal candidate will have a strong background working within a large organisation in facilities management, contract negotiation, and legal compliance, with excellent communication skills.
You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, preparing tenders, contract negotiations, performance analysis, and monitoring and reporting on progress and issues.
You will also possess relationship-building skills to form partnerships with our preferred suppliers in delivering the needs of the Diocese and its agencies.
Tertiary qualifications in business management, commercial management, or a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience are required.

Description: Position Description
This position coordinates the effective operational management of contracts for service delivery and the contractors engaged, to ensure the proper and efficient operation of all its physical aspects, creating and sustaining safe and productive user environments.
Skills and Experiences: Experience/Criteria
Strong, detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience in contract management that includes maintenance and operational services. Demonstrated understanding of general building and facilities services and related trades. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). Ability to work to a flexible time schedule when required. Proficiency in Tendering software. Ability to effectively monitor and assist staff. Experience in using an electronic records management system.
