About the Role:
The Learning Support Coordinator will lead and manage the Learning Support (LS) team on campus, ensuring inclusive education practices are embedded across the school.
This role involves developing and implementing programs, collaborating with teachers to identify and support students with diverse learning needs, and fostering a supportive environment for both students and staff.
Reporting to the Dean of Learning Support, you will ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards while working to continuously improve the quality of learning support services.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrates an understanding of the Islamic ethos of the school, supporting the school's philosophy, values, beliefs, and mission.
Ability to teach and model the religious beliefs of the school.
Ability to embed the MFIS vision and educational philosophy effectively.
Commitment to ongoing professional development including the Graduate Certificate of Education-Islamic Education.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a Learning Support team.
Experience in developing and implementing learning support programs tailored to meet diverse student needs.
Strong collaboration skills with teachers and leadership.
Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and intervention strategies.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards related to inclusive education.
