Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton.
The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes of Deflector and South West deposits.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Mill Shift Supervisor, the Process Operator will work as part of our Deflector Processing team.
You will support the Mill Shift Supervisor in leading by example and demonstrating high standards of work, reliability, safety, and housekeeping of the Gold & Copper processing plant.
The position will be offered on an 8:6, 7:7 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities of this role will include: Monitor and adjust operating variables and equipment to maintain optimum output for the processing plant.Operate in the assigned section of the process plant including; Flotation, Crushing, Grinding, Leaching, Dewatering, and ROM pad operations.Ensure that reagent stock tank levels and other consumables are maintained.Accurately record all relevant data on shift log sheets and shift diaries.Ensure a safe work environment through high housekeeping standards, safe work procedures, incident/accident reporting, and active involvement in safety programs and meetings.Maintain safety equipment, tools, and vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition.Actively maintain knowledge of and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Practices.ABOUT YOU: The successful candidate will possess the following: Previous experience in crushing and grinding circuit operation, CIL/CIP operation, or flotation would be an advantage.A strong working knowledge of gold processing is preferred.Previous experience operating a loader, skid steer, and excavator, and hold all the necessary nationally recognised certifications.Hold a valid WA Driver's License (manual C Class).The desire to learn and share knowledge.Possess a High-risk work license for Forklift and Confined Space and Work at Heights qualification.Working knowledge of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.An industry-benchmarked salary and the opportunity to join an established, stable, and financially secure company are on offer to attract people who want to make a long-term commitment to an organisation.
