Management/Company Accountant

Emerald Carrying Company are currently seeking to appoint a full-time Management / Company Accountant to ensure accurate and timely reporting, compliance and system / process improvement.
This dynamic and multi-faceted role will be a part of a small team, supported by a Chief Financial Officer, to deliver accounting and financial outcomes and other tasks as required to meet the strategic objectives of the business.This role will be based out of our Head Office in Lytton, Brisbane.
Work-From-Home options may be explored following successful completion of probationary period/s.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working as a key member within a small team, the successful candidate's accountabilities will include but not be limited to:Preparation of monthly management accounts and their analysisAssisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecastsPreparation of end of year accounts and audit informationBusiness process improvement, including system upgrades and automationIdentification, development and implementation of profit enhancement initiativesBalance sheet account reconciliationsAssisting in the management of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functionsPreparation of monthly / yearly BAS, Payroll Tax returns and Workcover lodgementsWorking with internal customers to provide guidance, analysis and assistance to develop their financial and business acumenAd-hoc duties as assigned by Chief Financial OfficerAbout the person:The successful candidate will possess the following personal and professional attributes:A minimum of 3 year's experience in a management / company accounting role (preferred) - Experience within the Commercial Accounting Sector would be held in high regardAustralian recognised Business or Commerce Qualification (essential)Possess a CA/CPA qualification or be working towards obtaining this certificationWell-developed verbal and written communication skillsStrong IT skills, with advanced Word & Excel skills.
Experience with Pronto would be advantageousStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlinesContribute to a vibrant environment by being energetic, enthusiastic and engaged with a 'can-do' attitudeThe ideal candidate will demonstrate diligence, strong organisational skills, and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
Furthermore, a high degree of ownership, accountability, and resilience under pressure will be crucial.The role offers scope for significant personal and career development.
