Trading Operations EngineerTower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of our trading teams in Sydney.ResponsibilitiesMonitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio riskContributing to the automated trading operations codebaseManaging ongoing projects with various Tower support teamsCoordinating software and hardware upgradesApplying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operationsResolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applicationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline3+ years of professional experience in a related fieldStrong software development skills in PythonWorking knowledge of Linux operating systemExceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisionsStrong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applicationsFamiliarity with current market structure and regulatory developmentsAbility to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidanceCapacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a teamStrong understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical conceptsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving abilitiesBenefitsTower continues to enhance the in-house trading system and strategies that have positioned the firm as a leader in the thriving field of quantitative trading.
