About the role Supports dental care delivery by providing general and emergency oral health care to Murri School Students as well as other eligible clients; diagnosing dental decay and gum diseases, providing dental examinations, cleaning, scaling and extracting, taking X-Rays and impressions for mouthguards, and bringing complex dental items to the attention of the Dentist.
Educates students and patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Assists in encouraging students and patients to make an active change to their oral care with the aid of ATSICHS approved oral health educational material.
Duties Provide quality oral health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to clients.Contribute to a positive and safe working environment with a wide variety of professionals and the public to achieve results consistent with workplace values.Understanding of the principles of oral health care and evidence-based practice.Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.Customer Focus.Demonstrated competence in the use of clinical software systems and other technology, the internet and desktop applications e.g.
Outlook, EXACT, LogiQC, Word, spreadsheets.Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of clinical service provision.Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity, and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.Culture Enjoy working in an organisation that makes a difference in the community.

Benefits Salary $94,305 per annum (depending on qualification and experience).11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take-home pay).Contribute to making a difference in indigenous oral health.Be a part of a multidisciplinary team.COVID-19 Requirements Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine is encouraged.Required Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Oral Health Therapy and be eligible to register with AHPRA.Hold a current radiation license.Demonstrated experience that shows practical skills and knowledge in the provision of dental care to clients.Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.Effective communication skills - both in writing and verbal.Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.Preferred Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Knowledge of EXACT.How to apply Applications can be submitted by following the links on the Recruitment page.
