As a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in North West Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.
MACA is seeking a Site Engineer to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.
Locals in North West Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis.
Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate's location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.

Responsibilities: Civil construction design of permanent and temporary work.Liaise with the Construction Manager for process improvements and clarification in design.Ensure civil operations are being carried out in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.Quality management representative roles.Daily reporting about progress, non-compliance, delay in work to the Construction Manager.Conduct regular job site inspections.Actively monitor the work environment for hazards.Assist in quality and safety audit.Implement technical and safety requirements for the project.Monitor daily quality procedures.Monitor daily production and cost/schedule adherence.Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of work practices.To be successful in this role, you will possess: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.1-2 years' experience in civil construction projects in a mining environment.White Card.Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.Excellent organisation and planning skills.Intermediate to advanced skills using the Microsoft Office suite.What we will offer you: Health insurance benefits; knock up to 10% of your premium with BUPA, HBF or HCF.Access to salary sacrificing benefits - airport parking and novated leasing with Maxxia.Ongoing development opportunities and structured training.Access to over 350 retailer discounts - savings up to $4000 per family per year.There are many long-term opportunities available across our business, and more on the horizon.
