The Council is seeking a skilled and innovative Manager, Traffic & Integrated Transport to lead the development and implementation of integrated transport strategies, traffic management plans, and car parking policies.
Reporting to the General Manager, Urban Planning & Environment, this position will oversee key areas such as:
On-street parkingLocal traffic managementRoad safety measuresEvent-related traffic solutionsEnsuring compliance with Australian Standards and legislation is essential.
This is a key leadership role that requires collaboration internally and externally, including with elected officials, government agencies, and the community to address traffic-related issues and deliver high-quality outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of traffic management and road safety, with a background in traffic engineering and an understanding of local government.
You will be a collaborative, outcome-focused leader with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Tender and funding submission experience and relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Project Management are critical for your success.
