We are currently seeking experienced HD Diesel Fitters interested in joining our team at the South Walker Creek Mine located 35 kilometres west of Nebo in Queensland's Bowen Basin.
And the closest mine to Mackay
What we are offering Earn up to $147K - $174K + Super and be in a Permanent Golding Shirt from day one, working half the year (depending on experience)
Benefits offered by Golding: Current contract plus 5-year extension @ South Walker Creek from January 2026.Base $147K - $175K + Super with fortnightly pays.Superannuation on all rostered hours worked + Coal Long Service contributions.7:7 rotating shifts 12.5 hours, great work/life roster.BIBO from Mackay.FIFO options - conditions apply.Overtime available as required.Full PPE Kit - including boots – provided.All accommodation & full meals provided.Employee assistance program (EAP) - for you and your family.Salary sacrificing options - including flights, novated leasing & superannuation.The role: Reporting through Leading Hands to your Supervisor, you will enjoy working in a varied role where you'll develop a broad range of skills in both the workshop and in the field including:
Workshop - servicing, preventative and scheduled maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics & major component change outs.Field - breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics & servicing.Machinery Includes:Graders 16, 24MNEW CAT 793's & Hitachi EX 5600-7's with new contractAbout you: Trade Qualification (equivalent to AUR31220 or MEM31419) & experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment.Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain).Working at Heights & High-Risk Work Licence including Dogging, Rigging, C6 Crane & EWP; highly desirable.Strong analytical skills with a solution focus.A strong commitment to safety.Ability to work as part of a team.Golding Employees benefit from a culture that supports a safe and secure working environment, with good infrastructure and favourable working conditions.
