Senior Management Role - Early Childhood EducationDiscovery Childcare and Education is a small but growing organization committed to delivering exceptional early childhood education and care.

We operate centres in Ringwood, Boronia, and Croydon, with a new centre currently under development in Doncaster 2025/26 and Bulleen in 2028.
About the Role This senior management role has two main functions: the first is to provide support and assistance to the Senior Management of the company in areas including strategy development, analysis, marketing, mentoring Centre Managers, project-based work on an ad-hoc basis, compliance and auditing, and other tasks that relate to the management of the organisation as a whole.
Some of these responsibilities will be similar to those of an area manager but will necessarily involve a high level of collaboration as well as taking instruction from the Provider Team.
The position is designed to work closely with both the Provider Team and Centre Managers to ensure the smooth operation of all centres, effective leadership, and alignment with Discovery's high standards of quality and care.
The role includes overseeing the management of Centre Managers, assisting with operational needs, and supporting the centres to achieve excellence in compliance, care delivery, and team harmony.
This is a dynamic position that requires strong leadership, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is a full-time, permanent position that will require working from our services as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills: Extensive experience in a senior operations or area management role within the childcare or early childhood education sector.Proven ability to oversee multiple centres or teams effectively.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide Centre Managers and teams toward achieving organisational goals.Excellent strategic and operational management capabilities, including the ability to analyse, plan, and execute initiatives that align with company objectives.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, ensuring the smooth running of multiple centres and timely completion of tasks.Comprehensive knowledge of childcare regulations and industry standards, with a commitment to ensuring compliance and best practices across all centres.Collaborative approach, with the ability to foster positive relationships with the Provider Team, Centre Managers, and other stakeholders.Highly adaptable and flexible mindset, with the capability to manage change and navigate challenges proactively.Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex operational and management issues effectively.Commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying up-to-date with industry trends and implementing innovative practices to maintain high standards.Strong communication abilities, including presenting strategic ideas, providing constructive feedback, and engaging with staff, families, and community stakeholders.Proven experience in overseeing marketing campaigns and strategies to promote centre enrolments, enhance community engagement, and maintain a positive organisational presence.An understanding and sensitivity to commercial aspects of operating a business.What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive work environment where your opinion and input will be valued and appreciated.Opportunities for professional growth and development both within Australia and internationally.Competitive salary and benefits package.Access to a bulk billed GP.Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).A discounted childcare rate of $3 per day.An opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and families. #J-18808-Ljbffr
